Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a vibrant lifestyle across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and the other emirates. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, healthcare, technology and finance provide strong job opportunities, particularly for experienced international candidates. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large expatriate community; modest dress, courtesy and respect for Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options range from modern malls and restaurants to beaches, desert excursions and mountain activities. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and provide Emirates ID processing; never work on a tourist visa. Resort packages may include accommodation, meals, transport, insurance and annual flights. Relocating employees should budget for deposits, personal transport and document attestation, and check contract terms, probation, working hours and benefits before arrival.
