Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Krabi, and other tourist islands. Common vacancies include kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping, reception, spa, diving, activities, engineering, and hotel management roles. Phuket provides the largest job market and more year-round employment, while smaller islands may offer a slower lifestyle but more seasonal work. Thai culture values politeness, respect, modesty, and teamwork; learning basic Thai is helpful. Living costs vary, with Phuket and central beach areas generally more expensive than local neighborhoods. Foreign workers must obtain the appropriate visa and work permit, usually arranged with employer support; working without authorization is illegal. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, transportation, contract terms, and visa responsibility before relocating. Thailand’s climate is tropical, with a rainy season that can affect tourism and travel.
