Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities in health and social care, the NHS, private care homes, hospitality, technology, construction, education and professional services. Care work is available across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, although pay and living costs vary considerably; London and the South East are generally more expensive. British culture values punctuality, privacy, queueing, politeness and clear workplace communication. Lifestyle options range from busy cities and historic towns to rural communities, coastlines and national parks. Overseas applicants usually need the appropriate work visa before starting employment. Some eligible care roles may qualify under current Health and Care Worker visa rules, but sponsorship availability, salary thresholds and occupation eligibility must be checked on the official UK Government website. Relocating workers should budget for accommodation, transport, deposits and immigration fees, and confirm registration or qualification requirements where applicable.
