The Activities Co-ordinator will plan and deliver engaging social, creative, physical and recreational activities for residents in a care home. Requirements typically include enthusiasm for working with older people, good communication skills, creativity, reliability and the ability to organise activities around individual interests and abilities. Previous experience in a care, community, hospitality or activity-based role is useful, although a caring attitude and willingness to learn may be more important. The successful candidate is expected to promote residents’ wellbeing, encourage participation, support dignity and independence, work collaboratively with care staff and maintain safe activity records.
