Job Description

This role supports business-process reengineering and project delivery within Citi’s operations environment. The successful candidate is expected to analyse existing workflows, identify control and efficiency improvements, define business requirements, and help deliver change initiatives from planning through implementation. Typical requirements include experience in banking, financial services, operations, process improvement, or project management; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and the ability to work with technology, operations, risk, and senior stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable preparing project documentation, tracking risks and milestones, presenting recommendations, and managing competing priorities. Clear communication, attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to influence teams without direct authority are likely to be important expectations.

Company Info

Citi, legally Citibank Europe plc in Ireland, is the European banking arm of Citigroup, a major global financial institution headquartered in the United States. The company provides corporate and investment banking, markets, securities services, treasury, payments, and consumer-related financial services to businesses, institutions, governments, and investors. Dublin is an important Citi location, supporting technology, operations, compliance, finance, and international banking activities across Europe and other markets. The organisation operates in a highly regulated environment and places strong emphasis on risk management, control frameworks, operational resilience, digital transformation, and responsible conduct. Employees commonly work across countries and functions, making collaboration and clear communication especially important. Citi also offers structured career development and opportunities to move between specialist, project, operational, and leadership roles, although individual benefits and progression depend on the position and employment terms.

Destination Guide

Ireland offers strong opportunities in banking, technology, pharmaceuticals, professional services, healthcare, and multinational operations. Dublin is the main employment hub and hosts many international financial institutions, while Cork, Galway, Limerick, and Waterford also offer growing technology, engineering, and business roles. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, informal, and relationship-focused, with good value placed on communication and reliability. The lifestyle combines lively cities, scenic coastlines, countryside, music, sport, and a strong social culture, though Dublin housing and rent can be expensive. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can live and work without an employment permit. Most non-EU nationals need an employment permit, commonly arranged through an eligible employer, and must meet immigration requirements. Before relocating, candidates should research housing availability, taxes, healthcare, transport, childcare, and the cost of living. A valid job offer and clear financial planning are particularly important for moving to Dublin.
