The HGV Class 1 Driver / Trainer role requires a valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and a strong commercial driving record. The successful candidate will safely operate articulated vehicles, complete vehicle checks, follow transport and health and safety procedures, and deliver goods reliably. As a trainer, they will coach and assess drivers, support induction and ongoing development, and promote DHL’s professional driving standards. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, patience, sound route-planning ability, and a proactive approach to safety and customer service. Previous driver-training or assessor experience is advantageous, while flexibility around shifts, nights, weekends, and changing operational requirements is likely expected.
