Job Description

This role supports Rakuten’s Finance and Accounting Strategy Department across tax planning, compliance, reporting, and consultation on domestic and international transactions. Candidates are expected to have practical experience in corporate tax, consumption tax, tax accounting, or a related finance function, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of Japanese tax regulations and accounting standards is valuable; experience with multinational companies, transfer pricing, or English-language work is an advantage. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, able to manage deadlines, collaborate with internal teams and external advisers, and explain complex tax matters clearly. A relevant accounting, tax, or business qualification would be welcomed.
