Engineering Attendant

Job Description

The Engineering Attendant supports the hotel’s engineering team with routine maintenance, repairs, inspections and preventive upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities. Typical requirements include practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning or general building systems, basic troubleshooting ability, physical fitness and a safety-conscious approach. Experience in hotel maintenance or a technical qualification is advantageous, while vocational training may be accepted. The successful candidate is expected to respond promptly to maintenance requests, work cooperatively with other departments, keep tools and work areas organized, follow safety procedures and maintain professional service standards for guests and colleagues. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
