Job Description

The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring hotel costs, inventory, purchasing, receiving, stock issues, and food and beverage expenses. Requirements typically include a diploma or degree in accounting, finance, hospitality management, or a related field, along with experience in hotel cost control, inventory management, or finance operations. Familiarity with hotel accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, stocktaking, supplier invoices, and financial reporting is expected. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, numerate, organized, and confident working with department heads and suppliers. Strong communication skills, integrity, accuracy, and the ability to identify variances and recommend cost-saving measures are essential. Previous experience in a luxury or international hotel environment is advantageous.
