Destination Guide

Although the United Arab Emirates is not an island, Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is a popular resort destination and the location of Rixos Bab Al Bahr. Hospitality creates many opportunities in front office, restaurants, housekeeping, culinary operations, spa, recreation, sales and engineering. UAE workplaces are highly multicultural, and English is widely used; respect for Islamic customs, modest public behavior and sensitivity during Ramadan are important. Ras Al Khaimah offers a quieter lifestyle than Dubai, with beaches, desert landscapes, mountains and generally lower living costs, while Dubai is accessible for major-city entertainment. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer normally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and work authorization. Candidates should confirm accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, leave, gratuity and contract conditions before accepting an offer. A valid passport, verified qualifications and a clean background record are commonly required.
