Job Description

The Pool Attendant supports the safe, clean and enjoyable operation of the hotel pool and surrounding recreation areas. Responsibilities typically include preparing loungers and towels, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring pool conditions, assisting guests, enforcing pool rules and reporting hazards or maintenance concerns. Candidates should be guest-focused, reliable, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in changing weather. Previous experience in a hotel, pool, beach club or customer-service environment is helpful, while strong communication skills and a professional appearance are expected. Pool safety, first-aid or lifeguard training may be advantageous, although the role may not require certified lifeguarding unless specified by the employer. Casual availability, including weekends and public holidays, is generally required.
