Job Description

The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining clean, organised work areas. Typical requirements include basic culinary training or relevant kitchen experience, knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. The candidate is expected to work efficiently during busy service periods, maintain consistent food quality, minimise waste and cooperate professionally with chefs and colleagues. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is generally required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong attention to cleanliness are important for success in this entry-level role.
