Destination Guide

Spain’s main island job markets are the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Opportunities are strongest in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, wellness, property services, and seasonal resort operations; HR and payroll roles are available with larger international groups. Lifestyle combines warm weather, outdoor activities, beaches, and a relaxed social culture, although summer work can be intense and accommodation expensive in popular areas. Spanish is important for administration, while English and other languages are valuable in tourism. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa but must register locally. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work and residence permit before starting. Budget carefully for deposits, transport, healthcare, and seasonal housing. This position is in mainland Cádiz, not the islands, but similar hospitality conditions apply.
