Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, especially in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, regional resorts and coastal destinations. Chefs and kitchen professionals are often in demand, although competition and living costs can be high in major cities. Australian workplace culture is generally direct, practical and team-focused, with strong expectations around punctuality, safety, equality and professional conduct. Sydney provides excellent restaurants, beaches, public transport and cultural activities, but rent is among the country’s highest. Eligible applicants may use a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another skilled migration pathway; requirements depend on nationality, age, qualifications and occupation lists. Secure a valid work visa before starting employment, arrange accommodation and budget for transport, health insurance and initial living costs. International applicants should verify visa conditions through the Australian Department of Home Affairs and confirm whether the employer provides sponsorship.
