Job Description

The Senior Finance Officer supports the hotel’s financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end reporting, cash control, payroll support, budgeting, forecasting and compliance with Accor and Australian accounting procedures. Candidates are generally expected to have relevant finance experience, strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience in hotels or hospitality is advantageous, as is knowledge of Australian taxation and financial regulations. The successful candidate should be organised, discreet, dependable and able to meet deadlines while working collaboratively with department managers. Clear communication, problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and improving processes are also important.
