Job Description

The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing vehicles, plant, equipment and other operational assets at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. Requirements typically include relevant mechanical qualifications or proven trade experience, practical diagnostic skills, a current driver’s licence and the ability to work safely in a remote environment. Experience with light vehicles, diesel equipment, generators or resort machinery is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to work independently, respond reliably to maintenance needs, follow workplace health and safety procedures, keep accurate service records and support other departments when required. Flexibility, a hands-on attitude, sound communication skills and a willingness to live and work in a remote location are important.
