Senior/Technical Officer

Job Description

The Senior/Technical Officer is expected to support the hotel’s Engineering and Maintenance team in keeping building systems, equipment and guest facilities safe, reliable and operational. Typical duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing or air-conditioning systems, responding to service requests, recording completed work and coordinating with contractors. Candidates should have relevant technical qualifications, practical hotel or commercial-building maintenance experience and a sound understanding of workplace safety. The role requires good problem-solving ability, attention to detail, physical fitness and the flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Candidates should communicate effectively, work independently when required and maintain Shangri-La’s standards for guest comfort, service quality and operational efficiency.
