Strong project management, copywriting, presentation, budgeting and stakeholder-management skills are important. Shangri-La Group is a Hong Kong-based luxury hospitality company with hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other international markets. Founded in 1971, the group is recognised for its Asian hospitality, personalised service and distinctive Shangri-La brand. Its portfolio includes luxury hotels, urban properties, resorts, restaurants, spas and event facilities. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, colleague development, responsible business practices and local cultural connections. In Hong Kong, the company operates several well-known properties and serves leisure, business, dining and events customers. Brand and festive marketing teams help translate the group’s luxury positioning into seasonal campaigns, celebrations, experiences and commercial activities that attract guests and strengthen customer loyalty.
Hong Kong is a compact international city with excellent transport, a strong economy and opportunities in hospitality, luxury retail, finance, technology, marketing and professional services. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with global influences, offering outstanding food, festivals, shopping, arts and an active business scene. Lifestyle choices range from fast-paced urban living in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon to quieter areas such as the New Territories and outlying islands. Rents can be high, although public transport is efficient and many employers provide benefits or housing support. Overseas professionals normally need an employment visa sponsored by a local employer, with applications assessed on qualifications, relevant experience and whether the role cannot readily be filled locally. Dependants may usually apply for permission to stay. Before relocating, candidates should confirm visa sponsorship, medical coverage, tax arrangements, housing costs and working-hours expectations with Shangri-La.
