It operates hotels, resorts, and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets under brands including Shangri-La, Kerry Hotels, JEN, and Traders. Destination Guide

Penang Island is one of Malaysia’s most attractive places to live and work, combining a strong tourism and hospitality sector with technology, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and international business opportunities. George Town offers a lively multicultural environment shaped by Malay, Chinese, Indian, and colonial influences, with excellent food, heritage streets, beaches, and a relaxed lifestyle. Housing, transport, and daily expenses are generally more affordable than Kuala Lumpur, although popular coastal areas can be pricier. Foreign employees normally need an employment pass sponsored by their employer; the company generally manages the application, subject to Malaysian immigration approval. Candidates should confirm whether salary includes service charge, accommodation, insurance, meals, relocation support, and annual flights. Penang has an international airport, good healthcare, schools, shopping, and ferry and road connections to the mainland.
