Job Description

The Chef de Cuisine will lead and manage an Italian kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high food quality, presentation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. Requirements typically include formal culinary training, substantial experience in Italian cuisine, strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen controls, and previous leadership experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant. The successful candidate is expected to develop menus, supervise and coach kitchen colleagues, manage food costs and inventory, coordinate with service and stewarding teams, and maintain Shangri-La’s quality standards. Creativity, organisation, communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays are essential.
