Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef (Pastry) supports the Pastry Chef in producing high-quality breads, desserts, cakes and other pastry items for hotel restaurants, banquets and room service. Candidates should have formal culinary training and several years of pastry experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-volume kitchen. Strong knowledge of baking methods, food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen cost control is expected. The role requires creativity, accuracy, good organization and the ability to supervise junior team members. Candidates should work well under pressure, maintain consistent quality, follow recipes and presentation standards, and be flexible with shifts, weekends and public holidays.
