Job Description

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring guest safety at swimming pools and other aquatic facilities at Shangri-La Singapore. Requirements typically include a valid lifeguard or pool-rescue certification, current CPR and first-aid training, strong swimming ability, and good physical fitness. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, pool, or recreational facility is advantageous. The successful candidate should remain alert, respond calmly and quickly to emergencies, enforce pool safety rules, conduct routine safety checks, maintain accurate incident records, and provide courteous assistance to guests. Good communication skills, a professional appearance, reliability, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays are expected. The role may also involve keeping poolside areas clean and reporting equipment or maintenance concerns.
