Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across major islands and resort destinations. Luzon, particularly Metro Manila and nearby areas, has the widest range of corporate, hotel, and restaurant jobs. Cebu and Mactan are major tourism and business centers, while Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and Siargao provide resort-focused work, although seasonal demand and accommodation costs can vary. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented, respectful, and strongly service minded; English is widely used in hotels and business. Lifestyle options range from busy urban living to relaxed beach communities, with generally affordable food and transport outside central tourist areas. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly involving an Alien Employment Permit and a 9(g) work visa. Requirements can change, so applicants should confirm procedures with the employer and Philippine authorities before relocating.
