Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and known for its hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. The group operates under the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands, offering accommodation, dining, meetings, wellness and loyalty services. Its culture emphasizes Asian-inspired hospitality, genuine care for guests and strong service standards. The Hong Kong corporate environment supports regional functions such as brand marketing, customer relationship management, digital transformation, finance and hotel operations. Employees may work with colleagues across multiple countries and properties, gaining exposure to a broad international customer base. Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a compact, international city with a strong hospitality, finance, retail, technology and professional-services job market. Although often called an island city, it includes Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, together with many outlying islands. Cantonese is the main local language, while English is widely used in business; Mandarin is also common. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighborhoods, hiking trails, beaches and a major dining scene. Rent can be high, especially near Central and popular expat districts, so many professionals live in areas such as Kowloon, the New Territories or the Southern District. Most foreign employees need an employment visa sponsored by their employer, normally requiring a confirmed offer and proof that the role cannot readily be filled locally. Applicants should confirm visa, tax, housing and health-insurance arrangements before relocating.
