Indian Chef

Job Description

The Indian Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes to Shangri-La’s quality and presentation standards. Candidates should have professional culinary experience in Indian cuisine, strong knowledge of spices, regional cooking techniques, food safety and hygiene procedures. Experience in a hotel, resort or high-volume restaurant is preferred, along with the ability to manage mise en place, control portion sizes and minimise wastage. The role requires teamwork, creativity, consistency and good communication with the Executive Chef and kitchen colleagues. Candidates should be organised, physically fit, willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and able to maintain a clean, safe and efficient workstation.
