Job Description

The Service Associate – Engineering supports the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, helping keep guest rooms, public areas, equipment and building systems safe and functional. Requirements typically include a technical or vocational qualification, basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning or general building maintenance, and preferably hotel or facilities experience. Familiarity with workplace safety, FCS requirements and OHSAS principles is advantageous. The candidate is expected to respond promptly to maintenance requests, carry out preventive and corrective work, follow safety procedures, maintain accurate records, work cooperatively with other departments and provide courteous service to guests and colleagues. Shift work, physical activity and emergency call-outs may be required.
