Destination Guide

Hong Kong is a compact, highly connected city with strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, retail, technology, logistics, aviation and professional services. Hotel jobs are concentrated on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and major tourism districts, with additional opportunities in nearby resorts and convention venues. The culture blends Cantonese traditions, international influences, festivals, excellent food and a fast-paced working style. Lifestyle options range from dense urban neighborhoods and extensive public transport to beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands. Rents can be high, so many employees share accommodation or live in areas such as Kowloon, the New Territories or Lantau. Overseas hires generally need an employer-sponsored employment visa, normally supported by a confirmed offer and proof of qualifications and experience. Applicants should confirm visa, security-license, medical and language requirements with the employer and Hong Kong Immigration Department before relocating.
