Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities in banking, technology, healthcare, construction, education, engineering, hospitality and professional services, with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide major employment centres. Australian workplaces are generally informal, inclusive and team-oriented, with emphasis on punctuality, safety, customer service and work-life balance. Lifestyle options range from vibrant cities and beaches to regional communities and outdoor recreation. Living costs, especially rent, can be high in Sydney. Most overseas workers need a visa, such as an employer-sponsored, skilled, graduate or working-holiday visa, depending on nationality, qualifications and occupation. Banking roles may require Australian work rights, background checks and compliance training. Relocation planning should include accommodation, healthcare, tax registration, transport and recognition of qualifications. Research visa eligibility and employer sponsorship before accepting an offer.
