Job Description

The Financial Reporting & Accounting Specialist supports Record-to-Report activities, including month-end and year-end closing, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with Japanese and international accounting standards. Candidates are expected to have relevant accounting experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP. Knowledge of IFRS, Japanese accounting requirements, internal controls, and shared-service processes is advantageous. Business-level Japanese and English communication skills are likely required, along with the ability to work with regional and global stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate ownership, accuracy, continuous-improvement thinking, confidentiality, and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines in a multinational pharmaceutical environment.
