Job Description

This role focuses on downstream bioprocess science within Astellas’s Product Research & Development organization, supporting the development and manufacture of biologic or advanced therapeutic products. Candidates are typically expected to hold a degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline, with practical experience in downstream processing, purification, chromatography, filtration, and process optimization. Experience with analytical methods, scale-up, technology transfer, laboratory documentation, and GMP-related activities is valuable. The successful candidate should be scientifically rigorous, able to interpret experimental data, communicate clearly across multidisciplinary teams, and manage projects independently.
