Job Description

The Preventative Maintenance Associate supports the hotel’s engineering team by carrying out scheduled inspections, servicing, repairs and routine maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, plant equipment and building systems. Candidates should have practical experience in hotel, building or facilities maintenance, with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning or mechanical systems. A technical certificate or vocational qualification is advantageous. The role requires good troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, safe working practices and the ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly. The successful candidate is expected to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required, maintain accurate service records, cooperate with other departments and deliver reliable, guest-focused support in line with Shangri-La standards.
