Senior/Technical Officer

Job Description

The Senior/Technical Officer supports the hotel’s engineering and maintenance operations, helping keep guest rooms, public areas, equipment and building services safe, reliable and operational. Typical responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC systems, responding to work requests, recording maintenance activities and coordinating with contractors. Candidates are generally expected to have a technical certificate, diploma or equivalent trade qualification, along with relevant hotel, building or facilities experience. Practical knowledge of engineering systems, workplace safety and local regulations is important. The role requires good problem-solving skills, teamwork, physical fitness and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
