Job Description

The Steward is responsible for washing and sanitising plates, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness in dishwashing and back-of-house areas, removing rubbish and supporting kitchen operations. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Basic hygiene and food-safety awareness is expected. Previous stewarding, kitchen or hotel experience is helpful but may not be essential. The successful candidate should demonstrate teamwork, attention to cleanliness, a positive attitude, flexibility for shift work, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Good communication skills and compliance with Shangri-La’s service, safety and hygiene standards are also expected.
