Destination Guide

Singapore is a modern island city-state with strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, food and beverage, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and retail. The culture is highly multicultural, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Life is safe, efficient and convenient, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and cultural attractions. Housing and daily expenses can be high, especially near central areas, so candidates should compare salaries with rental costs and consider shared accommodation or locations near MRT lines. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass; hospitality roles commonly use an S Pass or Employment Pass, subject to government eligibility rules and quotas. Employers typically guide successful candidates through the application process. New arrivals should arrange a valid passport, employment contract, accommodation and healthcare coverage before relocating.
