Company Info

Shangri-La is a major luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts, residences, and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets. Its properties are known for high service standards, strong local character, and the brand promise of warm Asian hospitality. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment serving leisure and business travelers, corporate clients, and events. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality, tourism, creative, marketing, and events opportunities, especially in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and other resort destinations. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and strongly influenced by regional traditions, Catholic heritage, music, and English-language education. Life can range from energetic city living and shopping malls to relaxed beach communities, with generally affordable food and transport compared with many international destinations. Manila offers the broadest professional network, while island locations provide a slower pace but fewer specialized services. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and appropriate work visa, commonly a 9(g) pre-arranged employment visa; working on a tourist status is not permitted. Employers usually guide the application process. Candidates should budget for housing deposits, transportation, health insurance, and seasonal travel, and check local weather, especially typhoon conditions.
