Destination Guide

Malaysia is not one island but a diverse country with opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah and Sarawak. Hospitality, tourism, sales, events, food and beverage, technology and shared services offer regular employment for qualified international candidates, especially in major hotels and resorts. Malaysian culture blends Malay, Chinese, Indian and Indigenous traditions, with English widely used in business and tourism. Lifestyle ranges from fast-paced city living to relaxed coastal and island communities, with comparatively affordable food and transport. Foreign employees normally need an employment pass sponsored by the hiring company; approval, medical checks and documentation are handled with immigration authorities, so working before approval is not permitted. Relocation costs, accommodation, taxation, healthcare and dependent visas should be confirmed in the offer. Langkawi and Penang suit resort lifestyles, while Kuala Lumpur offers the broadest career network and services.
