Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with diverse work and lifestyle options across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Hospitality jobs are common in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and other resort destinations, while opportunities also exist in business services, tourism, retail, and healthcare. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Island living can offer beautiful beaches, warm weather, affordable local food, and a relaxed social atmosphere, although transport, healthcare access, and internet quality vary by location. Employees should budget for rent, utilities, commuting, and seasonal price increases in popular resorts. Filipino citizens can work without a visa. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa before beginning employment. Relocating is easier with verified accommodation, health insurance, and clear written employment terms.
