Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, modern city-state with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology and healthcare. Hospitality workers benefit from an international environment and a service culture influenced by Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western traditions. Life is convenient, safe and highly connected, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and beaches, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Foreign candidates normally need an employer-sponsored work pass. The Employment Pass is generally for professional roles meeting salary and qualification criteria, while the S Pass is commonly used for eligible skilled and associate-level positions, subject to salary thresholds, quotas and levies. Employers usually guide successful candidates through the application process. Before relocating, confirm the contract, accommodation arrangements, medical requirements, pass eligibility and cost of living. Singapore’s climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
