Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Manila and Cebu provide the broadest range of hotel, restaurant, events, and corporate roles, while Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and Siargao offer resort careers connected to tourism and water activities. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Island living can be relaxed and scenic, although transport, healthcare access, internet quality, and living costs vary significantly by location. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate employment visa; requirements should be confirmed with the Bureau of Immigration and the employer before travel. Employers may assist with permits, accommodation, meals, flights, or relocation, but benefits differ. Candidates should budget for deposits, transportation, and initial living expenses, and verify the contract, service charge, accommodation, and visa arrangements before accepting an offer.
