Destination Guide

The Philippines offers strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, diving, wellness, and events, particularly in Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, Manila, and Bohol. Boracay has a relaxed beach lifestyle, a diverse international workforce, and a busy tourism season, although accommodation and living costs can be high. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented, and community-minded; English is widely used in workplaces. Life on the islands typically includes outdoor activities, island trips, water sports, local markets, and a slower pace than major cities, but transport and utilities may be less reliable in remote areas. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly arranged with support from the company and Philippine authorities. Candidates should confirm salary, housing, meals, insurance, flights, tax, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. A valid passport, medical documents, police clearance, and authenticated qualifications may also be required.
