Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality, tourism, sales, and corporate business opportunities. The country has a modern, international lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, warm weather, extensive shopping and dining, and easy access to beaches and desert activities. Local culture values respect, family, hospitality, and modest behavior, while workplaces are highly multicultural. English is widely used in business; Arabic is beneficial for some client-facing roles. Employers normally sponsor employment visas, arrange medical testing and identification formalities, and provide work authorization after an offer is accepted. Candidates should confirm housing, transport, insurance, flights, gratuity, and working hours before relocating. Costs can be high, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so the full benefits package is important. Public conduct, alcohol regulations, and local laws should be understood before arrival.
