Procurement Officer

Job Description

The Procurement Officer supports Shangri-La’s purchasing activities by sourcing goods and services, comparing quotations, negotiating with suppliers, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The role typically requires a degree or diploma in procurement, supply chain, business, hospitality, or a related field, along with relevant purchasing experience, preferably in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment. Candidates should understand supplier evaluation, contract terms, inventory coordination, and basic cost control. Strong communication, negotiation, organisation, numerical, and computer skills are expected. Familiarity with procurement systems and good knowledge of English are important; Cantonese or Mandarin may be advantageous in Hong Kong.
