Typical requirements include experience in hotel hygiene, food safety or quality assurance; knowledge of HACCP principles and local regulations; strong inspection, reporting and training skills; and relevant certification in food safety or public health. The successful candidate is expected to conduct regular audits, monitor kitchen and service areas, investigate non-conformities, maintain accurate records and coach colleagues on safe working practices. Attention to detail, clear communication, independence and the ability to work in a multicultural resort environment are essential. Previous experience with an international luxury hotel or island resort is an advantage.
