Job Description

The HGV Driver Class 1 role involves safely transporting goods using articulated vehicles between DHL sites, customers, depots and distribution centres across the United Kingdom. Candidates normally need a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), digital tachograph card and a strong safety record. Previous commercial driving experience is preferred. The role requires compliance with driving-time regulations, vehicle checks, delivery paperwork and company procedures. Candidates should be dependable, customer-focused and physically able to handle routine loading or unloading duties. Flexibility is important, as shifts may include early starts, nights, weekends and public holidays. Good communication, time management and the ability to work independently are also expected.
