Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering, data, healthcare, construction, education and skilled trades, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth. Workplaces are generally informal, collaborative and direct, with emphasis on reliability, inclusion and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy metropolitan centres to relaxed coastal and regional communities; outdoor activities, sport and diverse food are major attractions. Housing and transport costs can be high in Sydney and Melbourne, while other cities may offer lower living costs. Australian citizens and permanent residents can work without restriction. Skilled migrants may use employer-sponsored visas, skilled independent or state-nominated pathways, subject to occupation lists, points, qualifications and English requirements. This role specifically requires Australian citizenship for security-clearance eligibility. Relocating applicants should budget for accommodation, healthcare, tax, transport and initial settlement costs, and verify visa and clearance rules before accepting an offer.
