Research Assistant (Additive Manufacturing)

Job Description

The Research Assistant will support additive-manufacturing research through literature reviews, experimental planning, 3D-printing processes, materials preparation, equipment operation, data collection, and analysis. Candidates are generally expected to hold a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with additive-manufacturing technologies, CAD, materials characterization, laboratory instruments, programming, or data analysis is advantageous. The role requires careful laboratory practice, accurate documentation, troubleshooting ability, teamwork, and the capacity to work independently. Strong communication skills and a willingness to contribute to research reports, presentations, publications, and project milestones will also be expected.
