Job Description

The Manager, External Relations is expected to plan and deliver communications, media engagement, stakeholder outreach and public-relations activities that strengthen the university’s reputation. Typical requirements include a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related discipline, together with several years of relevant experience. The candidate should have strong writing, presentation and relationship-management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage projects involving senior stakeholders, media and external partners. Experience in higher education, government, research or a complex public institution would be advantageous. The role also requires initiative, professionalism, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under deadlines in a multicultural environment.
