Job Description

The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing the commercial performance of major UGL projects, including budgets, forecasting, procurement, subcontract administration, variations, claims, payment processes and commercial risk. The role generally requires substantial experience in commercial management within construction, engineering, infrastructure, rail, resources or energy projects, along with strong knowledge of contracts and Australian industry practices. Candidates are expected to interpret contractual obligations, negotiate effectively, maintain accurate financial reporting and work closely with project managers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Strong analytical, communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to identify risks and support successful project delivery.
