Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, testing, repairing and installing electrical systems across healthcare facilities. Applicants are expected to hold a relevant electrical qualification, such as an NVQ, City & Guilds or apprenticeship, with current knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations. Experience in building services, facilities maintenance or a healthcare environment is desirable. The role requires practical fault-finding ability, safe working practices, accurate maintenance records and effective communication with colleagues, contractors and clinical departments. Candidates should be dependable, organised and able to work independently, respond to urgent faults and participate in planned and reactive maintenance, including possible shift, weekend or on-call arrangements.
