Its culture is generally informal, multicultural and outdoors-oriented, with an emphasis on work-life balance and direct communication. Lifestyle varies from busy, diverse cities such as Sydney and Melbourne to quieter regional and coastal communities. Major costs include housing, transport and healthcare-related registration. Skilled professionals may explore employer-sponsored visas, the Skilled Independent or State/Territory Nominated visas, and temporary graduate pathways, depending on qualifications, occupation lists, age and experience. Overseas physiotherapists usually need qualification assessment and AHPRA registration before practising.
